Natalya is currently writing and performing in Chicago, lamenting how much she hates winter. She is definitely planning her next solo trip abroad, and probably explaining to someone right now that her name isn't Natalie.
Having earned a B.A. in English-Writing and Theatre from Illinois Wesleyan University, Natalya is a contributing writer for multiple online publications, including: The Everygirl, Reductress, and
Babe (The Tab Media). She also serves as the editor for the original satirical lifestyle site, The Flawed Life.
She spent a year performing with the Second City House Company, Madcap!, and is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory, where she studied improv, sketch comedy, and sorcery. She also trained at iO, Annoyance and CIC Theater, and has improvised in UCB Theatre's Del Close Marathon, The Detroit Improv Festival, and The Chicago Improv Festival. Her sketch duo, Dolls, was featured in The Chicago Red Eye for their unique, original (often messy) comedy, accompanied by a sold-out run at The Second City Beat Lounge.
When she isn't performing, she can most likely be found exploring a new corner of the globe. Truthfully, she doesn't think the word 'moist' is that bad. She has not yet mastered a
balanced vegetarian diet, but she's trying. If you capture a candid photo of her, she will inexplicably, always, be posed like a cat.
