MEET NATALYA

Creative Content & Brand Strategist

Days before NYE 2020, I moved to Sydney with two suitcases, zero friends, and even fewer plans. (Clearly I was reaching for my *main character* moment.)

Yet I had no idea where my path would lead, or how I’d align my passions with purpose, until I uncovered the next steps in my career: helping others actualise their dream brands with creative, engaging content.

If there is one thing to know about me, it’s this —

I believe your story is special, and the right words will help others see its value.

Everyone is the embodiment of their own brand, yet few people understand what truly sets them apart, or how to represent this to the world. That’s where I step in!

I call myself a creative content + brand strategist because I help courageous, entrepreneurial individuals and brands clarify their unique story and voice, design their path, and create engaging content to attract and convert their dream clients.

After spending much of my 20’s working in editorial and marketing in Chicago, I built a new life and differentiating brand for myself upon moving to Sydney, Australia 3 years ago.

Whether you’re planning a relocation, building your dream side hustle, starting a full-on venture, or amplifying your existing business, I want to help you create a brand vision and content strategy for success.

  • I received a Bachelor of Arts from Illinois Wesleyan University (Bloomington, USA), and furthered my education with a Certificate in Strategic Planning from Miami Ad School (Sydney, AU), and completion of the Social Media Marketing Intensive at Social Media College (Sydney, AU). I am also a graduate of the Second City Conservatory Program, where I fine-tuned my comedy performance and writing skills (Chicago, USA).

  • I have published content and worked for leading brands such as Groupon, The Everygirl, The Tab Media, Reductress, Social Media College and 8x8.

  • Working at some of the leading lifestyle and media sites has given me hands-on experience creating high-performing, viral content (from TikTok’s to website blogs!) In fact, one of my articles for babe (The Tab) became the highest performing piece on the site.

  • Is it possible to take highly technical, cloud computing software jargon and turn it into something actually…readable? Daresay interesting? Absolutely! And I specialise in doing just that, across industries like tech, finance, education, marketing, and ecommerce. (But I still love working in sectors like lifestyle and travel, too).

  • Thanks to a combination of my American roots, relocation to Australia, and collaboration with global teams, I’m well versed in localisation and working across a variety of cultures and vernaculars. We can utilize/utilise whatever style guide best suits your audience!

  • Telling your story isn’t half as interesting without adding some personality! Thanks to the many nights I spent performing at Second City – where the likes of Steve Carrell, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler got their start – I’ve learned how to keep an audience of varying degrees of sobriety entertained. I’ll help you master voice and tone that’s personable and engaging, no matter the content!

Capturing the whirlwind of 20’s to 30’s, overseas

After 6 years spent downtown Chicago, curiosity for the greater world sank in. It was during my first solo trip to Sydney, Australia that something “clicked” — and I knew this friendly, coastal city held untold stories for my next chapter of life.

Today, I share a sunny apartment near Bondi Beach with my British fiancé, and travel frequently back to Chicago, LA and London.

I love capturing my life experiences, particularly as an expat, and creative writing remains my bread and *salted* butter. My writing often takes the form of memoir-style blogs, emotive prose or funny excerpts.

And if my words can help illuminate just one moment of self discovery, create a sense of connection, or prompt a quick laugh, then sharing it all will have been worthwhile.
